Are you ready to get on the ice?!!  Maybe you need to break in those new skates, try out that new stick, or just want to get those hockey legs back in shape.  Check out the Helena Ice Arena's website for the latest rink schedule.  The arena is open and holding public skate sessions, adult and youth pick up hockey, stick and puck, and open figure skating sessions.  To easily find their website throughout the season, click on the Helena Ice Arena link under the Main Menu.

It's time to place your jersey orders for the 2010-2011 season!  Sets of both team and practice jerseys are available this year.  Orders are due by Tuesday, August 31.  Use the attached order form to place your order.

2010 -2011 Coaches Registration for HAYHA

 

All coaches must be registered in order to coach Hockey with HAYHA (Helena Area Youth Hockey Association).

 

Registration consists of the following:

 

~ Completed HAYHA Coaches Registration form and HAYHA Coaches Application form (also located on the registration tab).

 

~ Completed USA Hockey Registration (Coaches, Referees & Players) information including on-line registration confirmation, Waiver of Liability and Medical Release. www.usahockeyregistration.com

 

When registering with HAYHA, coaches, players and/or parents are committing to place a priority on practices and games and will do their best to juggle other obligations, manage their time around the team and strive for 100% attendance. 

The USA Hockey Coaching Education program offers five levels of certification, from the introductory Level 1 to the most advanced Level 5. All coaches must be certified at the appropriate level for the particular age group with which they are coaching. After attaining Level 1 verification, coaches have three seasons to attend a Level 2 certification clinic and then have three subsequent seasons to achieve Level 3 status, depending on the level of play they are coaching. After reaching Level 3, coaches may recertify online instead of attending a clinic in-person.


To be considered in the coaching selection process, please include to following additional items when submitting your coaches application documents:

 

 

~ Completed USA Hockey Registration (Coaches, Referees & Players) information including on-line registration confirmation, Waiver of Liability and Medical Release. www.usahockeyregistration.com

 

~ Copy of your CEP # card.

 

To be consider in the coaching selection process, please complete and submit all of the coaching application forms by August 23, 2010 by mailing to HAYHA P.O. Box 5022 Helena, MT 59604 or scan and email to any HAYHA Team Representative or Board Member.

 

 

Thank you for your interest in becoming a coach in the 2010 – 2011 iice hockey season. You will be notified by mid September on the results of the final coach selection process.
